Types of financial aid

Grants

A grant is an award that does not need to be repaid as long as the student remains eligible. There are two types of Federal grants – Pell grants and FSEOG grants.

Scholarships

Scholarships are a type of aid that does not need to be repaid.

Federal loans

Loans available to students enrolled on an at least half-time basis (8 credit units). They are need-based loans that carry a current origination fee of one-half percent.

Private loans

These loans are provided by private lenders to supplement the Student and Parent Education Loan programs available from the federal government.

Apply for student work study

California College of ASU participates in the need-based Federal Work Study program through which students can earn money by working on-campus or at an off-campus agency.

Payment plans

California College of ASU offers a payment plan to help you finance your semester charges by allowing you to pay in three monthly installments during the academic term.
