Arizona State University is closely monitoring the wildfires and related power outages across California. We are actively identifying members of our community in need of support and resources during this challenging time.

Current ASU Student Support
Current students enrolled at ASU's California Center can contact the dean of students for assistance by emailing Stacey.Freeman@asu.edu or calling 213-510-6961. Phoenix campus students should reach out to their respective dean of students by emailing deanofstudents@asu.edu or calling 480-965-6547.

If you are a currently enrolled student impacted by the wildfires and anticipate that you will be unable to physically attend classes for the foreseeable future, we will work with you to change your schedule to include online courses so that you can take advantage of remote options.

We can also support you by switching your semester start to spring session B, which begins on March 17, 2025.

For any scheduling accommodations, please contact your advisor (contact information can be found on My ASU in the Academic Support Team box) or contact us directly at provost@asu.edu.

If you are impacted by the wildfires, please let your instructors know. We have encouraged your professors to be flexible with class requirements for students affected by the wildfires.

For students seeking emotional assistance, ASU provides free and confidential support through Open Call and Open Chat at 1-877-258-7429. Faculty and staff can call the Employee Assistance Office for support and help identifying local resources at 480-965-2271.

Prospective Students
We have informed prospective students and their families that accommodations will be made for upcoming priority dates and deadlines. We encourage them to work with their high school counselors or contact their assigned ASU admission team member for guidance.
