Retention and graduation rates
California College of ASU tracks retention and graduation rates of students based on specific criteria that are standard among all colleges and universities. Retention rates are based on fall term student cohorts measured year-over-year. Graduation rates for BFA students are based on the percentage of the fall term cohort that have graduated within six years of their initial start date. Students who complete their degree requirements within a time frame that exceeds six years are not included in this measurement.
Student learning outcomes assessment
California College of ASU uses a systematic process to evaluate student work to understand and improve student learning. Faculty committees evaluate student work to understand the level to which students are learning content, competencies and concepts based on the stated program learning outcomes and the general education learning outcomes for each discipline. Student work is assessed throughout the curriculum and, most importantly, at or near graduation, to provide information to make evidence-based decisions for continuous improvement of the college.
